From May 11 to 15, 2025, outstanding Indonesian employees of PT. Bintan Alumina Indonesia for the year 2024 crossed mountains and seas to embark on a journey to China themed “Cultural Integration, Traveling Together Across Mountains and Seas.”

From the lush green mountains of Nanshan to the vast blue waves of Weihai, from the profound heritage of ancient historical sites to the vitality of modern cities, the five-day itinerary connected more than ten unique attractions, including the Nanshan Tourist Scenic Area, Chinese History and Culture Park, Penglai Pavilion, Xixiakou Wildlife Park, and Huoju 8th Street. Through every step of the journey, the employees explored the landscapes of China, experienced the profound essence of Nanshan culture, and further deepened their understanding of the company’s core values.

At the two major destinations, Nanshan and Weihai, employees immersed themselves in China’s unique philosophy of “harmony between humanity and nature.” Among the layered mountains of Nanshan, they walked through ancient temples and stone forests, listening to the echoes of thousands of years of civilization. Amid the misty sea views of Penglai Pavilion, the legend of the Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea intertwined with the history of General Qi Jiguang’s resistance against pirates, forming a soul-stirring historical epic. At Xixiakou Wildlife Park, the thrilling encounters with wild beasts through glass windows and the warm interactions with gentle animals showcased the harmonious coexistence within the diversity of life.The blend of modernity and tradition was equally impressive. The golfing experience at Nanshan Golf Club seamlessly connected industrial culture with leisure culture. The blue-and-white architectural complex along Huoju 8th Street, illuminated by the sunset, reflected the romance and openness of a coastal city. Meanwhile, the bronze ware exhibition hall and calligraphy workshops at the Chinese History and Culture Park inspired technically skilled employees through the spirit of craftsmanship. “When I saw in Nanshan how modern enterprises integrate traditional craftsmanship into industry, it made me firmly believe that outstanding companies can not only preserve civilization, but also create the future,” shared outstanding employee ERINA with emotion.
