In the early morning, the mist over Bintan has yet to disperse, while streams of traffic, bathed in the morning light, make their way into the industrial area. We head to our posts in pursuit of our daily livelihood and our hopes for the year; when we leave the plant in the evening, what we carry in our hearts is the anticipation of a warm meal and our families waiting for us. The meaning of all our daily journeys is simple — to leave home safely and return home safely. Machines run day and night, and vehicles travel back and forth in all directions. Safety is never merely a slogan on a wall; it is the shortest and most secure route home.
【01】Those “Rules and Regulations” Are Protective Clothing We Wear

Perhaps some people may feel that safety regulations are restrictive rules imposed to control people, adding unnecessary inconvenience. Yet not a single one of these rules was invented out of thin air while sitting in an office: burns caused by high-temperature alkaline liquor in the digestion process, entanglement in belt conveyors, falls from the tops of tanks… Every line reflects the price paid by those who came before us and the hard-earned awareness gained through past mistakes. Regulations uphold the rigor of laws while addressing the practical realities of each position, clearly setting out, step by step, “how to work safely”—they are not restraints, but an invisible layer of protective clothing worn on our bodies. Treating regulations as restraints is the greatest risk; a single violation committed merely for convenience can bring peaceful days to an abrupt end.

Following regulations is not about what we say, but about what we do. Before starting work, inspect the equipment and put on all required protective gear properly, without omitting safety goggles, gloves, or safety harnesses; during work, follow procedures strictly, never cross operating belt conveyors, touch high-temperature pipelines, or remove safety interlocks without authorization; after work, cut off the power, clear the work area, and complete the handover without skipping or disrupting any step. The same applies when traveling: observe speed limits within the plant, give way to pedestrians, and never stand within the operating radius of forklifts or loaders; when riding a motorcycle, wear a helmet properly, do not speed or force your way through, take precautions against slippery roads in rainy weather, and never ride after drinking alcohol. Follow procedures at work and obey traffic rules on the road; what we are safeguarding is the same road that leads us home.
【02】 Safety Requires Every Person to Take It Seriously
One Extra Look Could Prevent an Accident
The first line of defense is not in documents, but at every individual's workstation. When we put on our work uniforms, the burden we carry is not merely production targets, but also our parents' concerns, our partners' reminders, and the image of our children waiting for us at the door. Taking one extra look at temperature and pressure during inspections may prevent an accident before it develops; reporting a loose guardrail, a missing cover plate, or a puddle of standing water just one minute earlier may prevent someone from falling. Those who take safety seriously are the greatest obstacle to hidden hazards. No matter how busy the job gets, never skip a single procedure; no matter how heavy the workload, never take a risky shortcut. A company's growth is built on day after day of safe operations; a family's happiness cannot withstand even one reckless thought of “just this once.”

See a Safety Violation, Have the Courage to Call a Stop
Workplace safety is everyone's responsibility; ensuring a safe journey home is everyone's duty. Keep the principle that “a hidden hazard is an accident waiting to happen, and a safety violation is a danger” firmly in mind: acquire more knowledge, hone your skills, have the courage to call a halt when you see a violation, and give timely reminders when facing potential danger. Make compliance with procedures a habit, rather than mistaking habitual behavior for proper procedure. We also see that the company consistently strengthens accountability, improves facilities, conducts drills, and strictly enforces work permits and on-site supervision. By managing every vehicle and every stretch of road properly, it extends the safety barrier from the workshop all the way to the welcoming lights of home. Only when the company fulfills its responsibilities and everyone gives their utmost effort can this protective barrier withstand challenges and safeguard the joy of family reunions.
The Moment We Open Our Front Door, the Day Finally Feels Complete
As the workday ends in the evening, streams of traffic blend into the orange-red sunset and gradually disperse. It is the most reassuring scene of the day. We work to live, and the roots of our lives are deeply planted in our families. Every step of following proper operating procedures in the workshop and every act of slowing down to courteously yield at an intersection quietly clear obstacles from our journey home. There are no shortcuts on this road. Following regulations and taking every step safely is the surest way home.
May every colleague always maintain a sense of respect for safety and firmly uphold the bottom line: stay safe every second while on duty; slow down a little on the road to make the journey home much safer. May we give our very best every time we begin work, arrive safely at our destination on every commute, and find welcoming lights and loved ones by our side every time we open our front doors. May safety accompany us day and night, and may family reunions remain a cherished constant year after year.
