Release time:2026.09.25 Page View: 153

Festival Origins

The Mid-Autumn Festival originated from the ancient tradition of offering sacrifices to the moon on autumn evenings, took shape during the Tang Dynasty, and became widely celebrated during the Song Dynasty. It is named after the fifteenth day of the eighth month in the lunar calendar, which falls in the middle of the three autumn months. Since ancient times, it has been associated with the customs of admiring the moon, eating mooncakes, and looking forward to family reunions.

Welcoming the Mid-Autumn Festival with Joy

“The bright moon rises over the sea, and people far apart share this moment together.”

At the Bintan Industrial Park, we welcome another Mid-Autumn Festival.

Bulan — the Indonesian word for “moon”

Across the vast ocean, under the same Bulan.

It shines upon our efforts in a foreign land, while connecting us with the hopes of our homeland.

One mooncake, carrying the same heartfelt sentiment.

It represents care that transcends mountains and seas, as well as a gathering where there is no distinction between one another.

May every colleague enjoy peace, smoothness, and reunion.

Beyond the Gathering · Saluting Those Who Remain at Their Posts

The full moon of Mid-Autumn is half about reunion and half about those who stand guard.

While many raise their glasses to the moon and share the joy of reunion, a group of dedicated Bintan workers remain quietly rooted on the front lines of their posts. They safeguard production with responsibility and create a different kind of Mid-Autumn Festival through their sense of duty.
